Organic Calendula Flower

Description

Benefits: Calendula flower is useful to prevent muscle spasms, start menstrual periods, and reduce fever. It  also treats sore throat and mouth, menstrual cramps, cancer, and stomach and duodenal ulcers . This flower is great for the skin: healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash.

Uses:  Can be made into a tea, tincuture, or used to infuse oils. Simply seep the flowers in a light oil, such as grapeseed oil, to make body care products. Use it in place of yellow food coloring, and can even use it for a natural hair dye.

Description: Calendula, also known as Pot Marigold, is native to the Mediterranean, and is closely related to the marigold commonly planted in gardens. Calendula has been used for centuries, and is traditionally used in creams and lotions for skin problems, such as bruises, cuts, insect bites, and burns. It is also an effective remedy for easing muscle spasms and pain, diarrhea, menstrual cramping, and sprained muscles.  Calendula is also edible and makes a great natural food coloring or splash of color to a salad.
